Description
A Gires–Tournois interferometer (GTI) is an optical standing-waveresonator designed for generating chromatic dispersion. GTImirrors are used mainly for pulse compression in Yb:YAG, Yb:KGWfemtosecond lasers, but can be optimized for other wavelengths, forexample Ti:Sapphire laser system. Compared to prism or grating pulsecompression systems GTI thin film mirrors exhibits lower losses andsensitivity to mechanical misalignment errors, thus enabling higheroutput power and stability of laser system.. | |||||||||||||||||||
